Legal Aid of Sonoma County’s mission is to advance justice and protect the human rights of the most vulnerable people in Sonoma County. Legal Aid has been fighting for social justice for children, immigrants, elders and the disadvantaged, for over 50 years; they help over 4,000 a year.
Legal Aid assists immigrants and their families, protects victims of child and elder abuse, advocates for affordable and healthy housing for all, and supports people whose legal issues are interfering with their ability to get a job or health care. To help fire victims, Legal Aid launched a Disaster Relief program. This program serves low-income victims in getting the relief to which they are entitled from FEMA and insurance companies.
Ross Halleck served on the Board of Directors for 9 years, from 2004-2013; the organization holds a warm spot in our hearts.
Thanks for helping with this wonderful organization!
