Harvest Party 2017 and Library Tasting
October 21, 2017. Noon-4:00. It's a party! We're grateful for another vintage!
October 21, 2017
Join us for our 18th Annual Halleck Vineyard Harvest Party! The title speaks for itself: celebrate an extraordinary year and the cathartic relief as our babies are put to bed for another vintage.
Before lunch, we will have our annual Library Tasting where our library Pinot Noirs will be open for tasting. We welcome you to join us in updating our tasting notes.
Harvest has historically been a time for celebration since the pagan era. The Lammas Festival in the UK marks the beginning of Harvest. Judaism, one of the oldest religions, has Succot. Epiphany, in Greece, hosts the Blessing of the Sea. In November, Olivagando in Magione, Italy marks the olive harvest. And of course, we have Thanksgiving.
Our Harvest Party represents gratitude for a bountiful harvest and liberation from the volatile forces of nature. It is a time of letting loose and sharing community.
Join us for wine, live music, a sit-down lunch, oysters and camaraderie.
