Here is the skinny on prices and agenda:
Hillside cabins: $200
Waterfront cabins: $300
Dinner: $100 (five courses, inclusive of wine) January 31, 2008
Kayaking: $75 (guides, kayaks, lunch, wine) Feb 1, 2008
Total: $375-475. This is ala carte; you don't have to do the whole trip.
Dinner is being prepared personally by executive chef, Adam Mali. Adam is Le Cordon Bleu trained, a veteran of Gary Danko's in San Francisco, and most recently from top restaurants in Aspen and Greenwood Village, Colorado.
The cabins are gorgeous and priced at about a 25-50% discount for our group.
Dress for kayaking will depend on weather. I generally wear quick dry safari pants, like the kind made by The NorthFace or ExOfficio, and layers on top. Bring a fleece. Some people like to wear wet suits, just in case. Tomales Bay is warmer than the ocean and the likelihood of a spill is small. Wet suits are constrictive, but are safe and warm. If you happen to have them, I like to wear sailing gloves, without fingers. For those sprints or long hours of paddling, they prevent chaffing by the paddle on tender paws. They are definitely not necessary. Wear water shoes. Point Reyes Outdoors <http://www.pointreyesoutdoors.com> will provide spray jackets, spray skirts, personal flotation devices, and all other necessary gear. Bring a towel and a change of clothes and shoes for the drive home.
Email me any questions not answered. Hope to see you there.
