31st Annual Sun Valley Wine Auction
Our charitable efforts are directed toward education. With Three Sons, it's no wonder;-) This is our 6th year to join the Sun Valley in supporting their community in introducing children and adults to the arts. And it is a blowout party, to boot! This year I will be joined by Dan Kosta of Kosta Browne. We have put together an amazing West Sonoma Countly auction lot. Please come!

Halleck Vineyard vintner dinner at Nick's Cove
There is no other place on the planet like Nick's Cove. This is our 4th vintner event at what has become my second home over the years. But it is not just the place, but the people that draw me back.
I went there over 20 years ago, when it was a dive bar's dive bar, smelling of rancid cooling oil, alcohol, urine, and tobacco. But it's location on the water and selection of oysters continued to beckon.
Now it is testimony to the vision and passion of it present owners, displaying the charm of its past with the elegance and cuisine that make it a perfect partner with Halleck Vineyard.
We will be staying the night, so book now with the hotel for a spot at the table and a room for the night. Prepared by award winning chef, Austin Perkins, this will be our third dinner together. He is a master.
The next morning, we will be met by naturalist guides and kayaks provided by Point Reyes Outdoors. Owner, Laurie Manarik, and her team have been hosting us since they opened. This is a signature experience to enjoy the beauty of Tomales Bay, where we will kayak to a remote beach and enjoy a vintner lunch al fresco, also prepared by Austin Perkins of Nick's Cove.

Dinner Cruise to the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival
Inspired by the original Wild Goose from the gilded age of Lake Tahoe, Wild Goose II is a 36 foot commuter style boat. She was hand-built from Philippine mahogany in Holland, Michigan. She will be hosting 6 couples to enjoy the sunset on Lake Tahoe for a vintner dinner, paired with Halleck Vineyard wines.
She will cruise us to another time and place to enjoy William Shakespeare's "Two Gentlemen of Verona" in Sand Harbor's spectacular outdoor theater. We have a block of reserved Adirondack chairs at the front of the venue, along with a private area for enjoying a selection of Sonoma County artisan cheeses with Halleck Vineyard wines.
We have additional seats for the play, so please contact me if you would simply like to join us for Shakespeare. This is our 8th season and it is one of my favorite events of the year.
September 2012
I am excited to spend another week in The Big Apple! Dates are not set, but will be in the first half of the month. We will be enjoying another vintner dinner at The Grand Central Oyster Bar, joined by General Manager and friend, Jonathon Young. We have been honored by the Oyster Bar to join in their celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the restaurant and Grand Central Station.
We will also be hosting another vintner lunch at The Metropolitan Museum of Art Trustee's Dining Room, overlooking Central Park. Lunch will be for 10 people, prix fixe, prepared by an award winning team in a gorgeous setting.
For members of the Union League Club, I will be hosting a gala dinner in their spectacular Library. Halleck Vineyard is honored to be providing the ONLY wine to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Union League Club, established in 1863.
We will certainly also be sharing a meal at the newest restaurant to join our family, Gramercy Tavern. Chef Michael Anthony is the deserving recipient of The James Beard Association Award for Best Chef in NYC for 2012! I have enjoyed tasting our wines with Beverage Director, Juliette Pope, for 8 years. I am so pleased to join her list. Connor and I enjoyed our best meal in New York there last week (May 9) before ending his first year at NYU.
